Lost Lake Distillery was founded in 1999 by the Zacharias family in the plains of Kopais, on the “shore of the Lost Lake,” from which it took its name. The same family is behind Muses Estate, one of the most renowned wineries in the region, ensuring exceptional quality grapes and making grape-based distillates almost inevitable. After a successful series of grape spirits, the time finally came to move on to gin distillation!

The Mechanic Mediterranean London Dry Gin is inspired by the story of Lake Kopais, which was drained at the end of the 19th century by engineers who forever changed the area. Among them was an unknown English engineer who, according to testimonies, had created a small still to distill gin using local herbs and fruits. This became the source of inspiration for the Zacharias brothers, who proceeded with its production with absolute attention to detail.

The Mechanic Mediterranean London Dry Gin is a London Dry Gin enriched with 40 natural botanicals. Distillation is carried out slowly for purity of flavors and balance, while in the second stage of distillation in the copper still, a special technique is applied for additional natural enhancement of aromas.

Enjoy it over ice, with citrus slices and a rosemary stick.

Rich aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit, and bergamot, acompanied by notes of lavender and cardamom. On the palate, it is smooth, full-bodied, and balanced, with a clear Mediterranean character, while the finish is long with notes of lemon peel prevailing.
