Why do we love it?
Colli Tortonesi Bianco by OltreTorrente Winery is made from the special and rare variety Cortese, which in combination with the natural winemaking gives a special white wine, which uniquely captures the special terroir of Tortona.
After years of experience and work in various conventional wineries, Chiara Penati and her husband, Michele Conoscente, decided in 2010 to set up their own winery, at Tortona Hills, in Piemonte. The family owns only 7 hectares of old vineyards, which they cultivate organically trying to protect the hard work of the vine growers who passed through there. Mild natural winemaking comes to underline the concentration offered by the old vines and the unique terroir of the area. Colli Tortonesi Bianco by OltreTorrente winery consists of Cortese, which comes from 40-year-old vines. Matures for 8 months in stainless steel tanks and for 3 months in the bottle. The result is special and has a character slightly reminiscent of Muscat.
Enjoy Colli Tortonesi Bianco of OltreTorrente Winery plain as an aperitif or with light cold dishes, for a relaxing evening on the balcony!
