Why do we love it?

The craggy terrain of Italy’s German-speaking Alto Adige (also known as Südtirol) region is the source of some of Italy’s best white wines. Elena Walch's winery is located in Tramin in the province of Balzano in Alto Adige. Architect Elena Walch married into one of the region’s most known wine families and together, through a period of innovation and revitalization, led the winery into the top ranks of Alto Adige producers.

Gewürztraminer 2017 is made entirely of estate-grown Gewürztraminer. The hand-harvested grapes undergo six-hour maceration on the skins, then are gently pressed and fermented in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Finally, the wine matures on its fine lees for several months in stainless steel tanks.

Can you truly ressist this iconic wine?
