We are a little speechless! Obviously, you are too, because now you will be thinking about why wine in a can and what that could mean. A strongly aromatic Grüner Veltliner from the Traisental and Kremstal valleys in Niederösterreich, Austria, that has the freshness and acidity you need all summer long! We are talking about No.1 Grüner, but read a little further and you will understand...
So this means two things. The first is immediate consumption and ease of use and the second is huge ecological consciousness. Simon Rollings has been the head of well-known food start-ups for years, while Lisa Solovieva has worked with well-known food and beverage companies as well. Their paths crossed during their MBAs at the University of Bath and the idea hit them like lightning when, at a food and drink festival, they were served very poor quality wine literally in plastic glasses. And boom!
Today they collaborate with some of the best winemakers in Europe, who follow the principles of sustainable and organic farming, to produce excellent grapes and good quality wines. The bulk wine is then transported and bottled in airtight aluminum cans, in order not to lose their freshness and character. This one comes from vineyards with a particularly advantageous location, in a valley where the winds of the Alps and the warm waves of the Danube create excellent conditions for the aromatic potential of Grüner Veltliner.
Don't resist, for sunsets on the beach and picnics in the countryside, just try them all!
