Why do we love it?

Gustave Lorentz Riesling Cuvee Particuliere is a juicy and exuberant Riesling by the maître of the genre. If you find the Rieslings of Germany and New Zealand a bit austere then this Riesling from Alsace will excite you with its expressiveness.

The winery was founded in 1836 and since then, seven generations have passed through its management. Difficulties, phylloxera and other hardships hit the estate but the battle was not abandoned resulting in the winery being today one of the most important in the region. The essence of the wines of the winery is based on the expression of the terroir and the variety depending on the peculiarities of each year. One such wine is Gustave Lorentz Riesling Cuvee Particuliere. The grapes come from selected vineyards of Gustav Lorentz and the wine reflects the classic style of the winery. This translates into a very aromatic white wine with high acidity, rich tropical fruit and mineral character, designed for long aging.

Tastes Like

Gustave Lorentz Riesling Cuvee Particuliere has medium lemon color and impressive aromas of lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, melon, honeycomb, lemon blossom and apricot.

In the mouth it has medium body, crisp acidity and a subtle oily feeling. Ripe tropical fruits are mixed with citrus, white flowers and notes of petrol.

Pair it with sushi, burrata with roasted grapes, red mullet marinated with citrus and chili

Salad with smoked trout, green apple and herbs

For the salad
1 pack of mixed lola and arugula salad
1 fillet of smoked trout
1 green apple
1 finocchio
3 radishes
3-4 walnuts
trout eggs, optional

For dressing
2 green onions
15 gr dill
10 g fennel
1 clove of garlic
20 ml. vinegar of white wine
1 lemon
40 ml. olive oil
Freshly ground pepper
Coarse salt

Prepare the dressing: In a food processor (multi), mix all the ingredients for the dressing, by adding the olive oil in the end, while tasting and seasoning.


Finely chop the finocchio, chunk the green apple and the two radishes, put them in a bowl and add half the quantity of trout fillet, which you have crumbled with your hands.


Pour half the amount of dressing, mix and place the fish salad in the fridge. Cut the other radish into thin slices and place the salad in a serving bowl and sprinkle with the dressing.


Add the already prepared fish salad, the remaining tout fillet, the radishes, the walnuts and the trout eggs. We garnish with plenty of dressing and serve.

Notes:
- Instead of smoked trout you can use any other smoked fish
- In the salad you can add orange
