Torrontes is the Argentinian white variety that still has not taken the place it deserves. Aromatic, fruity, with crisp acidity and good aging potential, Torrontes is what you need this summer. And because our mission is always to find the best for you, we found you an incredible oak fermented Torrontes from Salta, with the astronomical score of 95 at Decanter.
Yes, you read well. The Laborum Torrontes 2015 Oak Fermented from Bodega El Porvenir de Cafayate is here and ready to steal hearts. The grapes come from a single vineyard in Salta, at an altitude of 1650 m. To achieve the complexity, volume and acidity needed, they harvest in 3 different stages in the same year: an early, a regular and a late harvest. They are all blended and then fermentation follows in new French oak barrels and maturation for about 6 months. The result is a special, complex and perfectly balanced wine that the aromas of ripe, honeyed fruits blend in with the notes of the barrel on a background of incredible freshness.
Obviously, as you can imagine, we are talking about very few bottles, so you know what you must do...
