Why do we love it?
Malagouzia 2019 Anatolikos Vineyards or what could happen if the most beloved Greek variety falls into the hands of two of the most upcoming winemakers of Greece, Marios, and Sakis Nikolaidis. We would very much like to tell you, but we'll ruin the big surprise. Well, we'll tell you: Explosion of aromas and complexity!
With the insistence of the Nicolaides brothers on perfection becoming almost proverbial, when they decided to deal with Malagouzia, the only sure thing was that the result would be spectacular. But no one could imagine how much. Initially, we are talking about organic cultivation, as always. The free-run juice ferments with ambient yeasts and then stays with fine lees for 5 months. For extra volume and complexity, 1/3 matures in French oak barrels for 3 months. Malagouzia 2019 - Anatolikos Vineyards sets the bar very high.
Juicy, oily, and expressive, easily runs for The Best Malagouzia of the year.
