Picol 2022 Lis Neris is a proud ambassador of Friuli’s distinctive Sauvignon Blancs. We fell for it because it is sophisticated, gastronomic and unmistakably Italian in character, striking a perfect balance between the variety’s aromatic, fruit‑driven intensity and razor‑sharp minerality. The 2022 vintage has been awarded 92 points by Falstaff, 90 points by Wine Enthusiast and 90 points by James Suckling.
Lis Neris is a true benchmark producer for Friuli, one of Italy’s finest regions for white wines. Its story dates back to 1879, but the modern era began in the 1980s under the direction of Alvaro Pecorari. His philosophy is built on low yields and the faithful expression of each variety through its terroir — with restraint and without excessive winemaking intervention.
Picol 2022 Lis Neris comes from carefully selected vineyards on the right bank of the Isonzo River. Fermentation is carried out with precision, followed by around 11 months of ageing in large 500‑litre French oak barrels and stainless‑steel tanks, on fine lees. Oak plays a supporting role here, adding texture, depth and complexity without masking the character of the grape.
A wine of real pleasure and personality, crafted for lovers of great white wines.
