Riesling Reserve Gustave Lorentz 2024 is an outstanding introduction to the greatness of Alsatian Rieslings crafted by this family-owned winery. The moment you open the elegant bottle, you will understand why Gustave Lorentz is considered one of the finest producers in the region. An expressive nose, generous tropical fruit, floral notes and a saline edge come together in a wine that offers remarkable value for money!
The Gustave Lorentz winery was founded in 1836, with the sixth generation currently at the helm and the seventh learning from the family's experience and rich heritage. Gustave Lorentz once stated that “the identity of our wines is born from the harmonious relationship between the grape variety, the terroir and the climate”, and this philosophy continues to guide the estate’s winemaking today. Inevitably, such a historic winery has faced many challenges throughout the years, yet it has not only overcome them and survived but has also evolved into one of the most respected producers in the region.
The grapes for Riesling Reserve Gustave Lorentz come from vineyards on the hills surrounding the picturesque village of Bergheim. Hand harvesting and rigorous grape selection reflect the level of care the family applies to every wine it produces. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, where the wine remains on its lees for six months, gaining additional texture, volume and complexity.
Riesling Reserve Gustave Lorentz is your opportunity to discover the world of Alsatian Riesling and the philosophy of a true maître of the variety!
