Why do we love it?
Roya Oak by Nopera is a very different, barrel-aged and more robust expression of Small Berry Muscat that has been missing from our glasses!

Τhe history of Nopera wines is anything but fresh news. It starts in the mid 19th century when the Nopera family abandoned Malta to migrate to the island of Samos. There, from the earliest years, they produced high-quality wine which soon became widely known to France.

Nopera's family descendant, Nicholas Mytilineos along with the winegrower and winemaker Yiannis Kostakis founded Nopera Wines in order to revive the historical family vineyard.

The 40-acre vineyard area is cultivated with organic and biodynamic techniques aiming at highlighting the complexity of the terroir and the unique characteristics of the Muscat variety.

Roya Oak Nopera Wines comes from a single vineyard in the area called Roya which is ideal for the production of dry Muscat wines.  The ageing in French oak barrels, on the other hand, complements Muscat’s floral character with a subtle spicy dimension.

Rich, honeyed, aromatic and wonderfully gastronomic! Don’t miss it.

Tastes Like
Intense aromas of sweet rose and citrus blossom intertwine with notes of peach, apricot, sweet lemon, vanilla, smoke, honey, toasted brioche and orange marmalade, creating a uniquely captivating ensemble.

Rich and full-bodied on the palate, with impeccable balance and refreshing acidity. The spicy nuances of the oak marry beautifully with the pronounced aromatic character of the Muscat.
