This is a Riesling that showcases the fresh, polished side of Australia, and you’ll love every sip.
Founded in 1912 in the picturesque McLaren Vale by Joseph Osborn, d’Arenberg is one of Australia’s most iconic wineries. Now run by the fourth generation, Chester Osborn, the estate is known for expressive wines made with strict organic and biodynamic practices. It’s a proud member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, representing over a century of winemaking tradition. The winery is also committed to sustainability, using solar power and reducing plastic use by 70%. And don’t miss the d’Arenberg Cube—a stunning architectural tasting room that blends modern design with the rich history of the vineyards.
For the 2023 Dry Dam Riesling – D’Arenberg, the grapes were gently pressed to extract only the most delicate and precious juice. Fermentation took place at low temperatures to preserve the variety’s fresh aromatics. It was stopped early to retain a touch of residual sugar—just enough to balance the wine’s zesty acidity and citrusy fruit. The result is a wine with 14g/L of residual sugar that’s perfectly balanced and made for spicy Asian dishes, sushi, or sipping by the beach.
The name “Dry Dam” comes from a small dam near the vineyard that, despite the rain, remained dry due to bad luck— that turned out to be a blessing for the dry-farmed Riesling, giving it unique depth and character.
