Tua Rita Keir Ansonica 2024 is a captivating expression of the rare white grape Ansonica, showcasing the more natural and unpretentious side of winemaking in Tuscany’s Maremma. Known primarily for its iconic reds like Redigaffi, Tua Rita proves with Keir that creativity and quality know no boundaries. The 2024 vintage has already received 93 points from both James Suckling and Falstaff, confirming its growing reputation.
Founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti, Tua Rita began at a time when Suvereto was still an undiscovered gem in the Tuscan wine landscape. With just two hectares and a clear vision, they set out to craft wines that reflect the land and their personal philosophy. Recognition came quickly, and today, with over 60 hectares under vine, Tua Rita is considered one of Italy’s leading boutique wineries, known for its precision, consistency, and expressive terroir-driven wines.
Keir Ansonica is made from 100% Ansonica (also known as Inzolia in Sicily), a rare but promising variety. The wine is fermented and aged for four months in terracotta amphorae, with no oak and minimal intervention, preserving the purity of the fruit and highlighting the character of the land. Skin contact adds a golden hue, delicate tannins, and a complex aromatic profile. Bottled unfiltered, it captures a completely different side of Tuscany — one that deserves to be discovered.
