Why do we love it?

Viditis In Anthesis 2024 by Charalaboglou Wines is a fresh, expressive wine of unrivaled finesse. It proves that when Vidiano is cultivated with passion, it unfolds its complexity and sophisticated character, rightfully claiming a starring role alongside haute cuisine dishes!

The Charalaboglou Winery is located at the foot of Mount Pangaio and has now passed into the hands of the second generation: Anthi and her partner, oenologist Matt Van Der Spuy. At an altitude of 220 meters, they cultivate the organic, dry-farmed vineyard "Mavrokopa" in a unique clay-loam soil. Here, the young Vidiano vines (just 5 years old) are grown with low yields to achieve optimal ripeness, while the grapes are harvested by hand at the perfect moment to preserve their utmost freshness and aromatic richness.

During winemaking, the grapes are gently pressed, incorporating a portion of whole bunches. Spontaneous fermentation follows, with 30% taking place in used French oak barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks. Partial malolactic fermentation then lends a rounder, creamier mouthfeel, while 7 months of aging on the fine lees imparts a delightful texture and impressive complexity.

Viditis In Anthesis 2024 by Charalaboglou Wines is a Vidiano that carries all the quintessential characteristics of the variety, enhanced by the unique terroir of Mount Pangaio. It invites you to pair it with grilled rich, white fatty fish! Try it now!

Tastes Like

Viditis In Anthesis has an elegant nose with aromas of yellow apple, orange peel, and subtle notes of vanilla and thyme.

On the palate, it is full-bodied with a well-structured, refreshing acidity. Impressive flavors of ripe apricot, sweet orange, lemon, and bitter orange are framed by hints of wet stone alongside notes of sage and thyme.
