Mas Daumas Gassac Blanc is, without doubt, one of the most distinctive and captivating white wines we have ever tasted. Is it the truly unique blend? The land that gives birth to it? Or perhaps the passion of its creator? We believe all three have played their part in shaping a white wine of remarkable rarity and character.
Aimé Guibert may have passed away in 2016, but he undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the world of wine — and an extraordinary legacy behind him. Back in 1970, as he and his wife Véronique were simply looking to buy a house, who could have imagined that he would go on to become a legend of the Languedoc, with his wines gracing collectors’ cellars and the pages of the world’s finest wine magazines? He even made an appearance on the big screen, in the documentary Mondovino! Today, the estate continues its brilliant journey under the stewardship of his wife and children.
Mas Daumas Gassac Blanc is composed of 35% Viognier (vine origin: Georges Vernay – Condrieu), 24% Chardonnay (vine origin: Comtes Lafon), 15% Petit Manseng (vine origin: Charles Hours – Béarn), 10% Chenin Blanc (vine origin: Domaine Huet – Vouvray), 6% Muscat and 10% Sauvignon, Marsanne, Roussanne, Petit Courbu, Muscat d’Alexandrie, Gros Manseng, Semillon and Fiano. Following a short skin contact, the wine ferments with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and is carefully matured to preserve fruit intensity, minerality and its signature complexity.
The bottles are extremely limited, so don’t miss the chance to experience something truly special!
