Château d'Esclans is located in the heart of Provence, north‑east of St Tropez. Its old vines and privileged location formed the foundation of Sacha Lichine’s vision: to create the world’s greatest rosé wines and to ignite the “Rosé Renaissance”. Patrick Léon stood alongside him in this ambitious endeavour, bringing with him decades of winemaking expertise (Château Mouton Rothschild, Opus One). The introduction of innovative — for the region — winemaking techniques, more reminiscent of Burgundy, revolutionised the style of Provence rosé. This led to the creation of a remarkable collection of rosé wines to suit every palate, crowned by Garrus, a rosé made from 100‑year‑old vines. At the same time, the resounding success of Whispering Angel stands as one of the most enviable wine success stories of the past twenty years.
