KATOGI AVEROFF

Katogi Averoff has been in Metsovo since 1959 and cultivates the most mountainous vineyards in Greece, at an altitude of 950 to 1050 meters. The varieties grown are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Traminer, Xinomavro, Chardonnay, and the rising Vlahiko, but also lesser-known, almost extinct indigenous varieties of the area such as Gudaba and Pyknoassa which the bears also like and several times they have created problems in production.
