ST. MICHAEL-EPPAN

St. Michael-Eppan was founded in 1907 and is considered one of the most renowned cooperative wineries in Alto Adige, northern Italy. Located in Appiano, at the foot of the Dolomites, it brings together around 350 member families who cultivate over 385 hectares of vineyards. The winery is especially known for its white wines, which account for approximately 80% of its production, featuring varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, and Riesling. Under the leadership of winemaker Hans Terzer, a pioneer in the region, the winery has gained international recognition. St. Michael-Eppan combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, including a state-of-the-art gravity-flow cellar completed in 2020. Sustainability and quality lie at the heart of its philosophy, with careful vineyard management and minimal intervention in the winemaking process.
