TENUTA TASCANTE
Tenuta Tascante was founded in 2007 by the historic Tasca d’Almerita family, with the vision of showcasing the unique volcanic terroir of Mount Etna—the highest active volcano in Europe. The name “Tascante” is a play on the words Tasca and Etna.The family acquired vineyards in the areas of Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo, at elevations ranging from 750 to 800 meters, across four historic contrade: Pianodario, Sciaranova, Rampante, and Grasà. Winemaking is carried out with deep respect for the environment and the character of the land, aiming to produce wines that reflect finesse, balance, and authenticity. Labels such as Buonora (Etna Bianco) and Ghiaia Nera (Etna Rosso) have earned international acclaim.
