VIETTI WINERY
Vietti winery was founded in the late 19th century by Carlo Vietti in the village of Castiglione Falletto, right in the heart of Barolo region. In 1919, his son Mario Vietti took over winemaking, and from that point on, the estate evolved into a benchmark for the region. A major turning point came thanks to Alfredo Currado, husband of Luciana Vietti, who created the first Barolo Cru (Rocche di Castiglione) in 1961 and revived the nearly forgotten Arneis grape in 1967. In the 1990s, their son Luca Currado and his wife Elena took the reins of winemaking, continuing the family tradition with innovation and deep respect for the terroir. Vietti is renowned for the quality, complexity, and authenticity of its wines, which consistently earn top scores from critics.
