On Wednesday, March 18th at 20:00, we’ve prepared a tasting dedicated to the grape variety that redefined Greek wine on the global map. Our theme? Assyrtiko is not just Santorini!
Yes, Santorini’s Assyrtiko has a truly unique identity, but the magic of this white variety lies in its adaptability and its ability to produce great wines in any soil and microclimate. From Nemea and Tinos to Halkidiki and the Geraneia Mountains, Assyrtiko takes on a different dimension still sharp in acidity, yet wrapped in richer fruit.
And let’s be honest: Santorini prices have gone up, and we know you’re looking for alternatives. That’s exactly why we’re here. Eva Markaki has selected her favorite non‑Santorini Assyrtikos older vintages, rare releases we don’t often see on the market they’re all here. We’ll taste wines from producers who dared to challenge the status quo and were proven right.
Here’s what you’ll be tasting:
If you’ve attended any of Eva’s previous tastings, you already know there may be surprises…
Selected baked goods will accompany the tasting!
All you need to do is secure your spot in time.
